Project HOPE (Healthy Outcomes for Prevention and Education)

Building Awareness and Changing Attitudes

The purpose of Project HOPE is to reduce substance abuse and HIV risk behaviors among 18-24 year olds by offering more access to HIV testing and providing information on how drug and alcohol abuse can lead to HIV/AIDS infection.

SAFB provides

  • Free HIV testing (confidential/anonymous 20 minute rapid oraquick (a quick swab that can change your life)  Testers will even come to your home or business and provide free confidential testing

  • Free condoms and bleach kits

  • Counseling services – HIV & Substance Abuse

  • Substance abuse & HIV/AIDS prevention presentations

  • Additional referral resources available

  • Intervention program for young adults 18-24

  • Information tables at community events
